Pathway to Wellness:

Supporting Families of Children with Autism

Autism in Collier County

Autism is a widely recognized developmental disorder, and its prevalence has been on an upward trend in recent years. Studies suggest that children are more likely to be diagnosed with autism in Collier County than other parts of Florida. In response to this, the Togetherhood Initiative is providing a comprehensive diagnosis for children displaying symptoms of autism. ADOS testing, which stands for Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, is one such method.

This testing looks at a child's interactions, behaviors, and communication skills to determine whether they fall on the autism spectrum. Early diagnosis can lead to better outcomes for children with autism, and the Togetherhood Initiative is providing a path forward for families grappling with this disorder.

Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) TEST ™

Is your child meeting developmental milestones? Are they responsive to your calls and smiles, or do they prefer to play alone? Early identification of developmental delays is crucial for preventing your child from falling behind.

The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) TEST ™ is a "gold standard" assessment that accurately diagnoses autism and developmental disorders for individuals of all ages, languages, cultures, and developmental levels. By creating planned social situations, the ADOS assessment measures a wide range of interpersonal interactions and communication skills.
